Most spaces are monthly, set aside for the people building and running the site. Park once and leave it; a gated, quiet place a night shift can sleep in the daytime.
Starbase Louisiana · Pecan Island
Starbase Louisiana is SpaceX’s announced launch site at Pecan Island, on the coast of Vermilion Parish. Pecan Island is a small coastal community, so many of the people working at the site or coming to see it will look for a place to stay in the towns just inland.
Rocket Farm is built for exactly that: a full-hookup RV park and family campground in development at 10729 Farmer Road in Kaplan, about 30 miles north of the announced site. Phase 1 is targeted for 2027.
The Starbase figure is straight-line distance: the site’s gate and access roads are not final, and launch-day access is set by others. Louisiana Economic Development puts the planned campus at Pecan Island; SpaceX publishes it on its own Starbase Louisiana page.
Who it’s for
Most spaces are monthly, set aside for the people building and running the site. Park once and leave it; a gated, quiet place a night shift can sleep in the daytime.
Three spaces stay flexible for short stays, because launch weeks slip and a few nights beat a few hours. The sites are angled so their open side faces south, toward the coast.
Next comes the family campground: A-frame cabins on a pond, a family cabin, a general store, a fire pit and a mini observatory where kids can see the planets.
